This work has been commissioned by the Compagnie CH.AU for a project inspired by the Tombeau de Couperin by Ravel, for which six composers have written one movement each, corresponding to one of the parts of this famous work by Ravel.

Le Tombeau de Ravel inspires itself of the Menuet of the Tombeau de Couperin, and has principally an elegiac, tender and nostalgic character.

The first performance has taken place on December 3rd, 2006, at the Théâtre de l’Oriental of Vevey (Switzerland).

It has also been instrumented for a chamber orchestra.

Duration of the work : approximately 6 minutes
