Erwin Messmer has first performed this work 2006 in Berne on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Organ Serenades of Bümpliz.

 

Duration of the work : approximately 6 minutes

 

In one single movement, the piece goes often from brightness to obscurity, and vice versa. It is elliptical and interrogative. The principal theme, hesitating, alternates with rich harmonies.
